“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” was able to defend its timeslot versus its new rival show “Super Ma’am”

AGB Nielsen (GMA Network ratings provider) and Kantar Media (ABS-CBN ratings provider) both agreed that “Super Ma’am” failed to defeat “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” on its pilot
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera-Dantes makes her teleserye comeback via primetime series “Super Ma’am.” The show aired its pilot episode last night pitting with “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
Marian’s newest teleserye is a fantasy series ideal for kids and kids-at-heart. It is the story of Minerva Henerala, a soft-hearted and dedicated high school teacher who loves her students despite their naughtiness inside the classroom.
Aside from being a loveable teacher, Minerva possesses a big responsibility of protecting the human world from Tamawos, a mythical winged-creatures.
The series also featured model-turned-actor Matthias Rhoads who will be male lead character of the story. It also includes Jerald Napoles, Kim Domingo, Meg Imperial, Jackie Lou Blanco, Joyce Ching, Ash Ortega, Kristoffer Martin, Enrico Cuenca, Jillian Ward and Ms. Helen Gamboa.
According to AGB Nielsen, “Super Ma’am” registered a TV rating of 9.5%.
ABS-CBN’s “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”, starring Coco Martin, got an AGB Nielsen rating of 12.4%.
The Kapamilya show rated 2.9 points higher than the Kapuso show that aired its pilot episode on September 18, 2017.
Meanwhile on Kantar Media, the Kapamilya series recorded high national TV rating last Monday (Sep 18) as it hit 43.2%, beating “Super Ma’am’s” pilot episode that only garnered 18.7%.
“Super Ma’am” failed to upstage the two year-old teleserye of Coco Martin.
