Saab Magalona fired at Speaker Alvarez comment against CHR’s Gascon.
Saab Magalona strikes again.
After her series of tweets criticizing some of the policies of the government and warning Duterte supporters that she cannot be silenced, Saab is on fire again.
In her latest tweet, the feisty celebrity daughter quipped House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez on his comment regarding the Commission on Human Rights.
Magalona was responding to Alvarez’ comment on CHR Chairman Gascon saying he didn’t do anything about human rights victims during Marcos regime.
“Alvarez kay CHR Chair Gascon: Tabingi talaga utak niya. Paanong pinupulitika? Ano nang ginawa niya sa human rights victims noong Marcos era?”
That comment of the Speaker didn’t pass Magalona prompting her to remind Alvarez that CHR was formed in 1987 after Marcos was ousted.
“Bes… 1987 nabuo ang CHR, bes…” she tweeted.
Meanwhile, her tweet has attracted both concurring and dissenting opinions. Those who agree with her said it’s very disappointing for a House Speaker to be ignorant of historical facts.
While those who disagree, questioned Saab’s know how in politics.
Saab is one of the many celebrities who are open and vocal with their criticisms of the government.
