Ruffa starred in an episode of “Ipaglaban Mo,” where she played the character of an abused wife
39-year-old veteran entertainment figure Ruffa Mae Quinto surprised Filipino viewers with her pasabog appearance in ABS-CBN’s legal drama show “Ipaglaban Mo,” yesterday, September 23. This marked her first starring in a Kapamilya program.
Ruffa recently confirmed that she will be staying as Kapamilya for a while when asked by PUSH.
“Sa ngayon I’m here so let’s put it that way. Siyempre Kapamilya rin ako dahil dito ako nakikita, di ba? So yun na muna.”
Despite having to leave GMA Network, which acted her home for several years, Ruffa still find it in her heart to feel grateful for that stay.
“Pero siyempre galing naman ako sa Kapuso pa rin. So I will never forget that, that I was a Kapuso for a long time. But sa ngayon I am a freelancer kasi nga ang asawa ko taga-America so nag-migrate na kami doon. Pero ngayon dahil may offer dito sa Kapamilya so nandito ako ngayon.”
Ruffa laid low from the limelight when she married last year to husband Trevor Magallanes and migrated to the United States. She also experienced a delicate pregnancy that’s why the doctors advised her to take a rest.
Surely, Ruffa’s fans missed her on screen! She just revealed that she’s now being managed again by TV host Boy Abunda. On an Instagram post last week, Ruffa thanked Boy for trusting her talent.

Ruffa also hinted that she has an upcoming movie but no further details were disclosed.
