You better watch out for a new salon in the market! Hairpost by Nikki Bacay may just be starting but the owner himself had already made his name familiar in the hair styling industry. After being in the business for almost two decades, there’s no doubt that his services are of quality and precision.
“I’m always inspired to do different hairstyle and haircuts because my inspiration is the Japanese hairstyle, the Geishas,” Nikki explained. “More on Asian kami (the Hairpost) concept.”
For those of you who do not know, Nikki Bacay here was awarded “The Loreal Color Trophy” and “Philippine Hairdresser of the Year (2001)” for his outstanding cutting and coloring techniques. By 2008, he was recognized through German salon brand Schwarzkopf Professional and was chosen to be one of their ambassadors. Throughout the years and time he devoted in the art of hair styling, Nikki’s hands are indeed God sent for his loyal clients.
Transforming boring into extraordinary, that’s the magic of Nikki which he brought to Hairpost. With his dear friend Malou Gumapac, the famous hairstylist can now tend to his many customers around Greenhills and nearby cities as they unveiled the salon named after him located at the 2nd floor of Fox Square Bldg., in #53 Connecticut St., San Juan.

Nikki’s friends from the media graced the red carpet opening of Hairpost. There were also guest performances from talented singers from “Tawag Ng Tanghalan,” such as Eumee Capili and Aila Santos.
Also spotted in the event were ABSCBN Rising stars Andre Yllana, Heaven Peralejo, Vivoree Esclito and Christian Morones.
Nikki showcased his “Camouflage” collection with four stylistic and edgy designs.
Humble beginnings
On a one-on-one interview with the owner himself, LionhearTV discovered more about Nikki Bacay’s concept of Hairpost and what drove the hairstylist to finally put up his own.
“I started my career in a small area in Sampaloc,” Nikki narrated. “I worked in a high-end salon in Annapolis tapos instant, the spirit of God (worked) on how to make this business.”
According to Nikki, his inspiration came from the encouragement of his loyal clients that continue to support his craft since day one.
“In Dapitan, I got 50 heads a day. 20 pesos per head. After no’n, naging stepping stone ko. I noticed na I have a gift from God in my hands.”
Nikki, alongside his talent, competed in various Asian hairstyling stints and won. He wanted the whole world to know that his nativeness is not a hinder but rather an edge in the industry.
What’s next to Nikki Bacay?
“I want to teach. Actually, I do training, consultancy. ‘Yung career ko gusto ko talagang mag-turn into an educator, magturo sa mga tao.”
The God-sent hairstylist in town believes that Hairpost will stand stronger from the others. He promised that everything in his salon will be made out of quality and masterful service.
