Maria Sofia Love again made social media headline over her infamous Lupang Hinirang viral video.
Famous social media character Maria Sofia Love is in hot water after posting a video disrespecting the Philippine National Anthem.
The video which showed Maria Sofia Love dancing in a provocative way to Lupang Hinirang was then reposted by a netizen Kevin Kun. As of press time, the video has generated 1.8millions views since it was uploaded on Saturday, September 9. It was also shared more than 33 thousand time with over 25 thousand comments.
The video caught the ire of the netizens for its improper regard to the song.
While the national anthem should be regarded with utmost respect as it symbolizes our history and culture, the video showed Sofia Love making fun of it. Instead of the standard practice of putting our right hand to our chest, Sofia Love put her hand to her private part while the song is playing followed by lewd dance.
Those actions didn’t sit well to netizens who watched the video. All of them are enraged by the disrespect showcased by Sofia Love. Curses and invective were all hurled at Sofia Love for what she did.
