Beverly Salviejo slammed biased CHR.

Netizens debunked Beverly Salviejo’s claims against CHR.
After the House of Representatives voted to give the Commission on Human Rights a meager 1000 peso budget, many netizens including celebrities have voiced out their oppositions and disgusts.
But contrary to the indignation that many local celebrities have show regarding the 1000 peso budget for the CHR, singer-comedienne Beverly Salviejo took a different road.
In a lengthy hysteria on her Facebook page Thursday, September 14, Salviejo slammed CHR for “being biased all along”.
“EXCUSE ME! But the CHR HAD BEEN BIASED ALL ALONG….” she said.
According to her, the Commission failed to act in many occasions including the Mendiola Massacre which happened during the time of Pres. Cory Aquino.
“IN THE PAST, THEY DID NOT SQUEAK A BIT WHEN THE FARMERS (i repeat, farmers) WERE MASSACRED IN THE RALLY AT MENDIOLA BY THE CORY ADMINISTRATION ….”
She also mentioned CHR’s inaction with regards to the Hacienda Luisita Massacre which she also faulted as an Aquino administration problem.
“THEY DID NOT PROTEST WHEN THE FARMERS (again, farmers), WERE KILLED AND MASSACRED IN HACIENDA LUISITA….”
And the recent Kidapawan bloody standoff between farmers and the police.
“THEY DID NOT SHOUT AND RAISE THEIR VOICES WHEN IN KIDAPAWAN, THE HUNGRY FARMERS (yes, farmers again) MARCHED TO DEMAND FOR RICE BUT WERE MET WITH GUNFIRE WITH SOME KILLED, and WOMEN AND THE ELDERLY JAILED…”
But the totally intense and passionate post of Salviejo was quickly debunked by a netizen.
In a post by Jayson Bernard Santos, he rebutted one by one Salviejo’s claims against CHR.
With Salviejo’s claim that CHR didn’t do anything about the Mendiola Massacre during Pres. Cory Aquino’s term, Santos said the commission cannot do anything because it is not yet existing. Mediola Massacre happened on January 1987 while the CHR was formed on May 1987.
On her second claim that CHR didn’t lift its finger on the Hacienda Luisita Massacre, again Santos said it was wrong because the CHR did investigated the case and filed a report.
“The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) led by Commissioner Atty. Norberto dela Cruz and Region III Director Atty. Jasmin Navarro Regino confirmed various reports of grave rights violations in Hacienda Luisita during its field investigation held yesterday, April 29.” Complete link: https://luisitawatch.wordpress.com/…/ph-human-rights-commi…/“
And with her claim regarding the Kidapawan incident, Salviejo was also wrong on her claim because the CHR also have a report probing the bloody incident.
“CHR released a report probing the bloody incident. Here’s a link to that report: http://www.gmanetwork.com/…/chr-confirms-disturbing-…/story/”
As his parting words, Santos advised people to exercise restrained when posting claims on social media.
“Guys, ‘wag puro satsat. Hindi iyan nadadaan sa intense na puro ALL CAPS.”
