Jericho Rosales still wants to work with Jennylyn Mercado.
Kapamilya actor Jericho Rosales finally explained his side on his sudden exclusion at the MMFF entry, “Almost Is Never Enough.” He was supposedly to star with her “Walang Forever” leading lady, Jennylyn Mercado.
On his recent interview with PEP.ph, the 38-year old actor revealed his reasons for backing out in his reunion movie with Jennylyn Mercado.
“Di lang ako preparado ngayon because… hindi ko naman gustong gamitin yung tatay ko or something, but I just realized na hindi ako preparado para sa mga proyekto this year since ang daming events na nangyari sa akin,” he stated.
“Medyo nahirapan ako, medyo nag-iba yung direksyon ng mga gusto kong gawin,” he added.
Before Jericho decided to leave the film’s production, he came to Direk Dan Villegas and Jennylyn to apologize. She also expressed her interest working with her “Walang Forever” leading lady.
“I actually apologized to Direk Dan, I love Dan, I love Jen,” he said.
“I saw Jen yesterday, and briefly I said pasensya na. Naintindihan naman nila,” he added.
“I want to apologize, of course, to everyone who thought na magkakasama kami ni Jen. It’s not the end, hindi pa naman huli ang lahat. Personally gusto ko pang makatrabaho si Jen. She’s one of the best actresses na nakatrabaho ko na masarap kasama,” he explained.
However, Jericho still wishes for the success of the movie. “But I wish them all the best, kay Atty. Joji, of course. The entire project is going to be great, it’s just that hindi ko lang nakita yung sarili ko sa sitwasyon na yun ngayon.”
Derek Ramsay replaces Jericho as Jennylyn’s leading man in the movie. They first worked together in the hit 2015 MMFF movie, “English Only, Please.”
