Comedienne Eugene Domingo tickles funny bones as she stars as none other than herself in the comedy film “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2: #ForeverIsNotEnough,” airing on Cinema One’s “Blockbuster Sunday” this October 1.
Created by award-winning duo writer Chris Martinez and director Marlon Rivera, the riotous film’s cast also include Kean Cipriano, Cai Cortez, Khalil Ramos, and Jericho Rosales with special participations of Joel Torre, Agot Isidro, Ricci Chan, Inigo Pascual, and director Joyce Bernal.
The awaited sequel to the award winning “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” continues the comical story of the now-successful indie director Rainier (Kean) and his team—promoted-to-producer Jocelyn (Cai) and newbie production assistant Lennon (Khalil).
Rainier comes up with a heartbreaking script inspired by his own crumbling marriage, and hopes superstar Ms. Eugene Domingo will star in it. After a long break from filmmaking, Eugene is delighted with the director’s offer. However, the whimsical actress has “other ideas in mind” involving her being depicted as a beautiful young girl having romantic scenes with a handsome young boy—namely heartthrob Jericho Rosales.
Not only funny to the core, “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2: #ForeverIsNotEnough” was also part of the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival. It was cited by the screening committee as “a film that will appeal to all moviegoing Filipinos who will profit from and enjoy seeing through the falsities and frivolities of the mainstream movies they have been watching for decades.”
Witness Eugene’s explosive comeback and wild antics in “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2: #ForeverIsNotEnough” on Cinema One’s “Blockbuster Sunday,” Oct. 1 at 8pm. Cinema One is available on SkyCable and Destiny Cable Digital Channel 56, and Destiny Analog Ch. 37. Like Cinema One on Facebook at facebook.com/Cinema1channel to view full schedule.
