Kapuso prime actress Carla Abellana celebrates her 8th year in GMA Network. She was launched back in 2009 for the Philippine adaptation of the hit Mexicanovela, “Rosalinda.”

On her recent interview with PEP.ph during the taping of her “Magpakailanman” episode, the 31-year old actress explained why she remained loyal to GMA Network.

“Wow! Kasi siguro kasi po iba yung… Unang-una, hindi ko maibabalik sa GMA yung opportunity na ibinigay po nila sa akin,” she said.

“Yung kabaitan, yung trust, with the many beautiful projects also entrusted to me. Parang ang hirap pong… hindi naman sa talikuran or what, pero parang siyempre with opportunities like that, loyalty na lang ang ibabalik mo sa kanila. And ang hirap lang hong i-picture yung sarili ko somewhere else, parang ganun,” she explained.

“Tsaka the atmosphere itself, napakabait lahat—the staff, mga artista. Kung tutuusin, parang ang liit lang naman talaga ng network, e. Madaming artista, madaming employees, madaming staff, pero kung tutuusin, konti lang, e. So iyon yung parang ayaw ko pong mawala,” she ended.

After Rosalinda, Carla did several TV series and sitcoms for the past eight years. She also shared her dream role for her next project on GMA Network.

“Siguro maging kontrabida!” Carla answered when asked about her dream role.

“Parang challenging siya, kasi mahirap maging kontrabida. “Pero hindi po kasi ako hasa [sa kontrabida roles] so kailangang… parang gusto ko pong i-explore,” she explained.
