Archrival TV networks are both claiming TV ratings lead for August 2017.
Citing results from two TV ratings survey company; AGB Nielsen and Kantar Media, ABS-CBN and GMA Network both claimed overall leadership for the month of August.
Urban + Rural Philippines
Using data from Kantar Media, ABS-CBN continues to attract more viewers compared to rival network GMA. ABS-CBN registered a total Nationwide (Urban and Rural) ratings of 46.0%, 13.0% higher than GMA Network’s 33.0%. ABS-CBN also leads in all programming blocks

Meanwhile, GMA Network scored a win via AGB Nielsen NUTAM People survey. GMA Network posted an all day average ratings of 42.0%, 4.6% higher than ABS-CBN’s 37.4%.
The two were also split in Luzon area.
Based on AGB Nielsen, GMA Network captured total audience share of 48.7%, 17.3% higher than the Kapamilya network. But Kantar Media put ABS-CBN on top with 42.0% ratings, 7.0% higher than Kapuso network’s 35.0%.
In terms of program rankings, AGB Nielsen listed “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho” as the most watched TV program for August, while Kantar Media puts “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” on top.
Following KMJS on AGB Nielsen ranking are “Pepito Manaloto,” “Daig Kayo sa Lola Ko,” “Alyas Robin Hood” and “24 Oras.” For Kantar Media, on the other hand, TV programs following “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” are “Little Big Shots,” “La Luna Sangre” and “TV Patrol.”
