Willie admitted that he will help Kris stage her big comeback soon with GMA Network
Willie Revillame finally revealed his plans on helping Kris Aquino become the ‘female Willie Revillame’ that she wants to be by helping her make a TV comeback now as a Kapuso star.
According to Willie, Kris is now cooperating with new business manager Arnold Vegafria in setting the foundations of her GMA debut. As shown on her Instagram account, the three of them had a meeting last Aug. 24 at EDSA Shangri-La hotel to discuss the matter.
“Sabi ko, ‘Si Kris, ibalik natin, sige. Tulungan ko kayo.’ the veteran TV host said in an interview.
Willie also gave the reason why he’s interested in helping the ex-Kapamilya host. He said that he favors Kris because she is the daughter of late president Cory Aquino and that he also experienced being misconstrued just like the Queen of all media.
But as a precaution, Willie reminded Kris to always be humble in order to retain her spot in the showbiz industry.
“Pinaprangka ko siya, sabi ko, ‘Makinig sa akin, Kris. Kung gusto mong makabalik, hindi naman sa ano, pinagdaanan natin ito lahat, you have to listen to me.’”
The “Wowowin” host also shed light on the opinion of the GMA Network heads about Kris Aquino.
In a separate meeting with the network executives, Willie revealed that they are ‘in-the-talk ‘ about the ex-Kapamilya’s impending transfer to their network and that they need “more convincing” in Aquino’s case.
“Parang ako rin yan nung kinukuha nila—slowly. And then ang importante, nakabukas na ang pintuan mo,” Willie said.
Both Willie and Kris rose to popularity during their stay at ABS-CBN. Willie left the Kapamilya network back in 2010 while Kris left recently after 22 years of staying as a Kapamilya.
Nonetheless, Kris Aquino will definitely be coming back in the limelight as she said that “exciting times” are ahead along with her “future boss.”
