Kapuso actress Ryza Cenon shared how she struggled with the demand of her role in the upcoming independent film entry, “Ang Manananggal Sa Unit 23B.”
During her interview with the press, Ryza recounted her major preparations for her character. She admitted that it was her first time to do a daring role.
“Ang mga ginagawa ko lagi, mga pa-tweetums lang. So, ito ang kauna-unahan kong ginawa na may sex scene, masturbation, so hindi ko alam kung paano siya i-handle.
“Siyempre, nanghingi ako ng tulong kay direk. Humingi rin ako ng suporta sa kaeksena ko, kay Cholo,” she stated.
Ryza also disclosed with the media that it was in this movie that she and now boyfriend Cholo Barretto got closer together and eventually fell in love.
“Naging open ako sa kanya para at least, alam namin kung paano i-adjust ang isa’t isa.”
The 29-year-old actress also shared how she trust the staff of the film even though they had her do some explicit scenes on set.
Ryza recalled how fidgety she was before taking her cue.
“Before ko siya gawin, humingi pa ako ng ilang oras para mag-lock sa tent mag-isa.
Tapos, paikut-ikot lang ako.
“Para kumbinsihin ‘yung sarili ko na, ‘Gawin mo ‘yan. Pinasok mo ‘yan, gusto mo ‘yan, ‘di ba?’”
The film festival will start showing on August 16 until August 22 on cinemas nationwide.
