The life story of Jake Zyrus has stirred a lot of controversies after it was aired on the drama anthology, “Maalaala Mo Kaya”.
Things are escalating pretty quickly as Raquel, the singer’s mother, claimed that she is planning to take legal action against the singer.
“Iparating mo na lang sana na pinag-iisipan kong magsampa ng kaso [ng libelo] dahil sa pagpapalabas ng istorya ng buhay ko na hindi nila ako kinunsulta.
“Kasama na rin sa demanda ang anak ko na si CHARMAINE CLARICE RELUCIO PEMPENGCO,” Raquel told PEP.ph.
In multiple interviews, Raquel denied that she was not abusive to Jake. She also denied spending most of Jake’s earnings from singing competitions and from her earnings abroad.
“Sobrang nasira ang kredibilidad ko bilang tao at bilang ina. Buong mundo ang nakaalam, hindi lang buong Pilipinas“, said Racquel in an interview.
Meanwhile, Jake’s grandmother, Thess Pineda, affirmed the story as revealed by the singer.
