- “Kita Kita” executive producer Piolo Pascual recently revealed that they already identified the names of the netizens spreading the link of the movie online.
- Piolo and Viva Films are now taking legal actions against the movie pirates.
Arguably this year’s blockbuster romcom hit “Kita Kita’s” popularity and huge success did not save the film from threats of piracy with netizens spreading links to websites where you can watch or download the film.
Just recently, a copy of the full-length movie has been going around in social media sites. Reports said a link is being shared by netizens that leads to the pirated version of the film.
Alarmed, the production of “Kita Kita” decided to seek legal counsel to resolve the situation.
Executive producer Piolo Pascual took to Instagram his disappointment and revealed that the names of those behind the piracy were already sent to court.
Viva Films also released their joint statement regarding the issue.
The team thanked their supporters and those who had courage to report this to the authorities. They ask that if any pirated copy surfaces again, people should contact them immediately so proper actions will be done.
