Many began to wonder how it was possible for an exclusive GMA Network talent like Lovi Poe to guest on one of rival network ABS-CBN’s programs.
Last Friday, the 28-year-old actress was interviewed by famed host Boy Abunda on his late-night talk show in Kapamilya’s primetime roster.
There, Lovi promoted her big screen project with “It’s Showtime” host Vhong Navarro under Regal Films entitled “Woke Up Like This.”
To her defense, a reliable source relayed that Regal personally processed Lovi’s guesting. After all, the movie’s TV rights are owned by ABS-CBN.
As far as GMA Network is concerned, talents are given permission to visit other network’s shows as long as it’s for project promotions alone. In fact, a lot of exclusive Kapuso stars have done this gesture in the past when TV rights belonged to the Kapamilya network.
“Woke Up Like This” is directed by Joel Ferrer with script penned by Joma Labayen and Jeps Gallon. It is now showing in cinemas nationwide.
