Binibining Pilipinas International 2017 Mariel de Leon took to social media to announce that she is “officially” in a relationship.
On Monday, the daughter of actors Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong took to her Instagram to share a photo of cupcakes with a notable question.: “Will you be my girlfriend, my queen?” It had the caption, “8-21-17. FINALLY! After a year of dating! It’s official!”
Tagged in the post is Eric Luz, an Information Systems graduate of De La Salle-College of St. Benilde. Eric, in fact, was the guy Mariel mentioned during her interview after winning the crown. Mariel described Eric as the one who “always sending me loving and kind words whenever I felt down and for always making me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world!”
In this photo, Mariel and Eric celebrated this year’s Valentine’s Day together. Mariel said, “happy valentine’s day to my everyday ❤️”

Mariel will be competing in the Miss International 2017 pageant in Japan this November. Her first big-screen project as Coco Martin’s leading lady in “Ang Panday” will be this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival entry.
