The director explained that the need to sustain the interest of the viewers and popularity of the show makes it hard for them despite the consistent high ratings of “Ika-6 na Utos”.
But the serye already proved that they can maintain its ratings and can even go higher than expected.
It is also the only show that can be seen on Saturdays.
“Oo nga, wow! Kaya nga imbes na two days a week lang ang taping ng pang afternoon, nagiging three days,” she said.
“Hindi naman ako nagrereklamo,” the director explained.
Aside from that, popularity brings more haters and bashers as viewers have different opinion and taste in choosing the kind of show that suite their interests.
“You cannot please naman everyone. Sa akin naman may choice ka naman diba sa TV, pwede mo namang pindutin mo lang ang remote diba,” she reacted to people’s comments about the show.
Direk Laurice also shared that when she’s going to the bank, hospital, and even in shopping malls she’s being told that they like the show.
“Sinasabi sakin ng mga sales girls na nanonood pa raw sila sa YouTube kasi wala, busy sila during the afternoon,” she elaborated.
The director was also asked about Ryza Cenon’s possible exit in the serye because she’s not managed by GMA Artist Center.

Direk Laurice didn’t answer the question directly but explained that it will depend on the run of the story.
“May parang book one, book two, book three diba? So anytime pwedeng mag end,” she noted. “Pero kung hindi siya mag end, meron talaga siyang plot.”
Some people even commented that the show glorifies having mistress but the director denied the accusation.
“Hindi naman! Talagang she’s just being true to herself, yung Georgia character ni Ryza, na wala siyang moralidad. Lahat ng gusto niyang makamit, papatay siya kung kinakailangan,” she told Pep.ph
