- Filipino singer Jake Zyrus’ life story was tackled in last Saturday’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode drew question of authenticity from his own mother Raquel Pempengco
- Jake’s grandmother, Thess Pineda, slammed daughter Raquel on her violent reaction towards grandson’s story, according to Thess, Jake’s MMK life story was based on true events
Jake Zyrus’ Lola Thess agreed on how the life story of her grandson was portrayed last night on ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode entitled ‘Jumper.’
Thess Pineda posted a lengthy statement on her Facebook page, addressing Jake’s bashers. She cited what she can remember from the first MMK story of Jake in 2008, back when he was still Charice Pempengco. According to the grandmother, the past episode was full of lies and was fabricated by Jake’s mom Raquel Pempengco.
“PARA SA AKIN, TAMA LANG YAN. SIGE, SWEETHEART, ISIGAW MONG SAKIT NA NARARAMDAMAN MONG YAN, BATA KA PA LANG DINANAS MO NANG KALUPITAN NA YAN.”
Raquel earlier made a comment about last weekend’s episode stating that it was fabricated. She said that Jake was lying all throughout the story, stressed that she’d been through a lot for her son.
The episode nine years ago showed how Raquel sacrificed in order to provide for Jake and their family. This was debunked by Lola Thess, saying that she’s the real provider not Raquel.
“AKO ANG BUMUHAY NAGPALAKI SA INYONG LAHAT AT AKO ANG MENTOR TRAINOR MO. LUMALABAN KA SA AMATEUR CONTEST, SIYA SA SARAP, IKAW ANG SA HIRAP.”
She also reassured Jake that there’s nothing to be afraid of now and advised him to continue exposing what’s true. To alter the past life of Jake is a shameful act, said Thess.
Also, the grandmother gave out a message to Jake’s bashers online. She asked them to refrain from saying hurtful words to her grandson for they do not know the what he had been through just to get to where he is now.
“MARAMI PA KAYA KAYONG WALANG ALAM. SANA MANAHIMIK NALANG.
BAYAAN NIYONG ISIGAW NYA YANG NASA DAMDAMIN NYA.”
Lola Thess is one of the people close to Joke that has fully accepted her chosen identity.
