GMA Network’s very own TV series are now shown across the world as different countries from Asia and Latin America acquire format rights from the biggest TV network in the Philippines.
One of these is “Impostora” which format rights was acquired by a Cambodian TV network on 2012.
Likewise, “Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Langit” was remade in Vietnam on 2015.
A year later, “Half Sisters”, “My Destiny”, “Munting Heredera” and “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real” format rights were sold to a TV network in Mexico.
Aside from selling its “scripted format” shows, GMA Network now promotes its “unscripted formats” to the global market.
This includes shows like “Celebrity Bluff”, “Picture! Picture!”, talent searches like “Starstruck” and “Protégé”, and reality shows like “Extra Challenge” and “Follow Your Heart.”
