Celebrity lawyer Ferdinand Topacio seems to be casting doubt on the real number of supporters of the AlDub, the loveteam of Kapuso stars Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza.
The fandom AlDub Nation was created after the accidental rise to fame of AlDub loveteam on the noontime show Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye.
AlDub Nation is believed to be the reason behind the phenomenal success of AlDub after it posted a record-breaking 41-million tweets for the hashtag #ALDubEBTamangPanahon on October 23 to October 25, 2016
However, Topacio may have experienced the other way around after not receiving a “warm welcome” from the fandom.
In the tweet he posted on August 28, Topacio said that only 23 accounts on the social media site twitter bashed him for posting negative about half of AlDub loveteam’s Alden Richards.
“I counted those bashing me regarding Alden. 23 lang. Hardly a “nation”,” he tweeted.
When an AlDub fan clarified, “Oh, and those bashers are NOT part of ADN.”
Topacio replied, “Alam ko po. That’s what I meant. Hindi sila yung ADN. 🙂🙂”
The supposed bashing stemmed on the earlier statement of Topacio that he wants to see the link of alleged sexual harassment of Alden Richards to Maine Mendoza.
“I’ll look into it” was the reply of Topacio to one twitter user who reported to him the alleged incident. This allegedly rattled the fans of Alden Richards.
