TAPE Inc.’s longest running noon time show “Eat Bulaga” continuously produces the biggest and brightest stars for so many decades now. In a report by Abante, “Eat Bulaga’s” Jenni Ferre explained the secret.
“Kailangan mo lang sumugal. Kung hindi ka susugal, walang mangyayari. Kailangan ilaban mo. We love to invest in people and create new stars because ang daming nangangarap. You just have to give them the opportunity and let them bloom to their full potential,” Ferre explained
Ferre said that she really saw something special with Maine Mendoza the time when she first saw the young actress through her viral videos online. Although she admitted that she didn’t expect Maine would create such noise and popularity in the showbiz industry.
Aside from the 22-year-old actress, two of the most popular child star today Ryzza Mae Dizon and Sebastian Benedict commonly known as ‘Baeby Baste’ were also part of the show.
Ferre shared that it is a great pleasure and honor to be part of this Dabarkads show and to be able to contribute in honing the talents of these rising stars.
She also admitted that she felt really happy seeing stars like Maine, Baste, Ryzza and many more reaching their dreams step by step.
“You feel proud because you see them from before na punung-puno ng pangarap. Now, nakikita mo na sila sa teleserye,” she said.
“Kung sila may pangarap, mas mataas yung pangarap namin para sa kanila. At masaya kaming nakikita na natutupad nila yung mga pangarap na yun,” she added.
“Eat Bulaga” is indeed a very effective platform to rising stars as they train them with first-hand experience in hosting and entertaining viewers.
“Tinitingnan namin ang kanilang mga kakayahan at kami ay nagpo-focus doon. Hinahayaan namin ang bata na gawin ang gusto nila,” Ferre further elaborated.
Looking back, popular singer and actress Aiza Seguerra also came from “Eat Bulaga.” In 1987, Aiza became a child wonder after joining “Eat Bulaga’s” ‘Little Miss Philippines.’
Though Aiza did not win the contest, she became part of the show. Aiza believes that they served as her foundation and her second home where she was able to showcase her singing talent to make other people happy.
According to Aiza, she owes everything she is right now to the noon time show.
Sexbomb dancer Rochelle Pangilinan also started with Eat Bulaga, few years after, their group had their own show called “Daisy Siete”, which brought her to where she is right now.
Even in Rochelle’s wedding, “Eat Bulaga” hosts were all present.
She stated that because of the opportunities given to her, she was able to get through with life.
Aside from learning how to be professional, Rochelle shared that in “Eat Bulaga,” they treat each other as family.
“Eat Bulaga” has really proven to be successful in making millions of people cry out of happiness and is true to what they always say “habang may bata, may Eat Bulaga.”
