When it comes to social media, there are no rules set in stone. ‘Alyas Robinhood’ lead star Dingdong Dantes agrees with this. However, he also has some substantial advice to give regarding self-regulation on social media.
PEP.PH asked the actor’s opinion on the never ending issue involving his leading woman Andrea Torres. The actor refused to comment further. Instead, Dingdong said, “Karapatan naman nila na magkomento. Pero minsan, kapag nasa social media, kailangang ma-regulate din ang mga sinasabi, mga pinu-post at mga ginagawa kasi kapag dumating na sa bashing, cyberbullying na yun… no one deserves to be cyber bullied.”
The actor also pointed out that cyber bullying can lead to many dangerous things, including depression. He even added, “Kung ano ang diskursong gusto mo, yun ang magde-define anong klase kang tao”.
Dingdong admitted that he also gets affected by negative comments sometimes but he chooses to simply ignore them all the time. With this said, he urged everyone, especially the youth to think twice before posting or commenting on social media.
