Vhong and Deniece became a public topic in 2014 when the model filed a rape case against the host in her condominium unit.
Regal Entertainment’s “Woke Up Like This” starring Lovi Poe and Vhong Navarro is now showing in cinemas nationwide. Alongside, “Broken Hallelujah,” headlined by model-actress Deniece Cornejo. Both movie incidentally premiered on the same date.
Deniece and Vhong can be remembered to be rivals in court . In 2014, Deniece accused Vhong of sexually assaulted her. This led her to call Cedric Lee and his friends to beat the host.
The 26-year-old lead star of “Broken Hallelujah” expressed her happiness with her latest project and avoided questions regarding the case against Vhong.
“Sinusunod ko lang po ‘yung advice ng mga lawyers ko, not to talk about anything about my case,” she told press during the premiere night.
Meanwhile, Vhong’s movie drew a star-studded crowd. Present are fellow “It’s Showtime” hosts Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia, as well as Kapamilya young actress Janella Salvador.
