- Coke Philippines recently launched its very own ‘Coke Studio,’ to showcase great OPM artists in the local music industry
- Last July 29, the leading soda company in the country’s latest campaign kicked off by gathering artists to collaborate and perform in one platform.
OPM will not die, this is the ultimate vision of Coke Philippines as they launched a music TV show called ‘Coke Studio’ wherein local music icons are brought together to collaborate amid their different musical genres. It aims to celebrate both diversity and unity of the Filipino artists.
“Coke has always been about encouraging personal expression among the younger generation of teens, and what better way to unite them but through a universal language, which is music. This is what Coke Studio is all about. We are making music our tool of choice to connect with teens,” said Stephan Czypionka, Coca-Cola Philippines Vice President for Marketing.
Coke Studio also intended to bring back the classics and at the same time introduce fresh names who equally produce great and quality music.
Mainstream and indie unite
During its media launch held at the SMX Convention Center last Saturday, Coke Studio gave the complete experience to the audience and the press.
They turned the whole venue into a big musical stage by putting up different stations for the local artists to perform in. Everybody felt the vibes and listened to the sound and music all throughout the night.
Performances from familiar and rising musicians in the country were enjoyed by the ecstatic crowd. Noel Cabangon, Curtismith, Moonstar88, Jensen and the Flips, Sandwich, BP Valenzuela, Gabby Alipe and John Dinopol of Urbandub, The Ransom Collective, Abra, Gracenote, singer-composer Ebe Dancel, Autotelic, Franco, and singer-songwriter Reese Lansangan serenaded the night with their beautiful music. A powerhouse line-up indeed.
