Cardo (Coco Martin) continues to protect the rights of the oppressed against those in power in the number one primetime series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
Together with the group Pulang Araw, Coco reached out to the Mt. Karagao farmers, who failed to receive assistance from the governor after their crops were infested with pests, leaving them with no resources to provide for their family. Responding to the farmers’ plea, Cardo and the Pulang Araw distributed supplies to the farmers to help them get their lives back on track.
However, during their operation, Cardo was filmed by one of the grocery store customers and was also caught in the rice mill’s CCTV camera while he was with the rebel group, which will surely put his life in danger once the videos surface in public and reveal his true identity.
Will Cardo still be able to hide his identity from the Pulang Araw? When will he discover that his true enemy is director Hipolito (John Arcilla)?
With the episode’s thrilling scenes, the series recorded a national TV rating of 40.7% last Tuesday (Aug 29), beating its rival show “Alyas Robin Hood” with only 18.4%.
Meanwhile, the series continues to bring joy and public service to Filipinos as its cast recently visited Gawad Kalinga Munting Pamayanan in Quezon City. The stars helped in building and painting homes and bonded with the residents while giving gifts to the community.
For over 100 weeks, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” has pumped up the action in primetime and imparted valuable lessons to viewers every night. Now in its second year, the series has not only impressed viewers nationwide, but also government officials with its crime prevention campaign and continuous effort to tackle relevant stories and social issues. Several award-giving bodies such as the Catholic Mass Media Awards, KBP Golden Dove Awards, and the Box Office Entertainment Awards have also recognized the show for its stories that reflect the lives of Filipino families.
