ABS-CBN remained supreme on primetime as “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” beats the comeback of GMA Network’s “Alyas Robinhood.”
Last Monday August 14, GMA Network revived “Alyas Robinhood” for its 2nd season. But the comeback failed to make a mark as “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” still attracted more viewers.
On its debut episode, “Alyas Robinhood” posted a rating of 10.7%, 1.1% lower than “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s” 11.8% based on AGB Nielsen NUTAM People survey. On its second day, the gap got even bigger as “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyanoscoreded 11.9% versus “Alyas Robinhood’s” 10.4% or a difference of 1.5%.
Meanwhile, Kantar Media showed a more significant loss for “Alyas Robinhood” as it averaged 17.8% vs its Kapamilya rival’s 38.6% or a gap of 20.8%.
“Alyas Robinhood’s” comeback was completely spoiled as FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano dominated the timeslot to top the primetime ranking. From Monday, August 14 to Thursday, August 17, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” remained on top scoring 38.9%, 40.4%, 36.7% and 38.6% respectively versus “Alyas Robinhood’s” 18.9%, 16.9%, 17.5% and 17.8%.
Previously, “Alyas Robinhood” (during season 1) was slated on a different timeslot thus enjoying a win on the ratings board.
But this time, having head to head battle with “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”, its comeback may face a failed venture considering “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s” proven track record of crushing its competitors.
