The actor returned the favor given to him by the people
“Eat Bulaga’s” Pambansang Bae Alden Richards revealed during the event of his endorsement, Snowcaps that sincere public service doesn’t need to be publicized.
During the interview at Blue Water Spa last August 9, the Kapuso actor surprised the street sweepers and barangay tanods with a relaxing spa and his special appearance in the said event.
Alden admitted that giving back to people is very important for him without having a second thought.
“That’s my whole purpose as an actor, as an artist. You always have to give back to people kasi sila yung nagdadala sayo kung nasan ka ngayon,” he explained.
He added that you have to return the favor not just a little but as much as how they provided you with support and importance because according to him, it really pays back to you.
The actor also revealed supporting certain charities but he doesn’t want to talk about it in public.
“I decided not to name them. I really help uncover. I don’t really make it public. Kasi walang sincerity sa public service, sa public charity service,” he elaborated.
He even stated that some artists use charities to gain public comments and sympathy.
“Yung iba ginagamit yung pagbibigay yung charity para you know to gain some feedbacks from other people. I don’t do that, I don’t do service for that,” he noted.
Pambansang Bae revealed that if he would be given an opportunity to do such thing, he would be more than happy and willing because it really makes him happy.
“Kumbaga, at least, itodo na natin yung pagre-relax kasi it’s the least you could do to those people na mahirap ang trabaho every day,” he said.
“Na-surprise kami. Ang alam namin binigyan lang kami ng magandang day-off ni kapitana na magpa-spa,” barangay cleaner Florencia Venildos said after Alden came to thank the metro aides and tanods.
Meanwhile, catch Alden Mondays to Saturdays in the longest running noon time show Eat Bulaga together with the EB Dabarkads and her on-screen partner Maine Mendoza.
