A gamer but you also want to take your games with you when you travel? Then Acer Aspire VX 15 is a perfect gadget of choice for you.
Acer let us borrow one of their brand new unit for a review. Acer Aspire VX 15 looks great with the brushed aluminum and an edgy design of straight lines with curved corners that will surely catch your eye. It also looks great with it’s brushed design on the outside and matte on the inside. Weighing 2.5 kilos which is heavier than most laptops yet light for gaming.
The VX 15 has a bright red backlit keyboard which is comfortable when playing, very responsive and silent, not like most mechanical keyboards that make lot of noise when you play, Acer also managed to change the colors of the WASD keys to orient yourself faster when gaming.
Our review unit had the latest Intel i7 processor, GTX 1050 for it’s GPU, 8 gigs of RAM and is paired with 128GB SSD for your apps and games and 1TB HDD for media storage. It also has a 15.6 inch Full HD display and a Dolby Audio™ Premium speakers which is great when watching movies. This baby has a full size HDMI port, 2x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, the latest USB Connector Type-C, and a headphone port.
We took the unit to our local cafe shop and played DotA via WiFi, it can play a full game without any lags and still had a bit of juice left for browsing and streaming videos, we also tried to watching Netflix series and the battery lasted for about 5 hours before it reached 10 percent and prompted us to plugged the chord into a socket. It can also handle heavy edits- which is a great option for people working.
The best part about all of is: this Acer Aspire VX 15 did not heat up the whole time while we were using it, which means we didn’t to wait for it to cool down before putting it in our bag.
Speaking of bags, most regular backpacks can fit up to 15 inch laptops will be a bit tight for this one. Out of the 5 bags we have, all four are tight to fit and one did not fit the laptop at all, so make sure you test it out first before purchasing a bag to avoid spending additional cost just to fit this baby in.
VERDICT
If you’re willing to invest for your gaming and other stuff in a laptop or if you have 64,999 that’s a shy of 1 peso to make it 65,000 then head on to any Acer stores and grab one for yourself before stocks get unavailable.

On the flip side, if you want a good gaming and media experience wherever you go, this laptop is for you. With its mostly upgraded technology and specs this will surely be a great buy for anyone regardless if you’re a gamer or plain user of sorts, Acer Aspire VX 15 is a great work/play laptop. However, make sure that you have a bag that’s huge enough to make this fits.
