“It’s Showrime” host Vice Ganda joins the nation and netizens as they tuned in to President Dutertes second State of the Nation Adress (SONA) #SONA2017 yesterday, July 24, at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City.
Vice tweeted his SONA updates and comments and even quoted the president.
Duterte discussed his first 365 days in position through a rundown of his implementations and programs. In the most popular part of his speech, the ongoing war on drugs, he expressed his sentiments towards the unending criticisms.
“During my Inauguration last 30 June 2016, I said that the fight against criminality and illegal drugs and corruption will be relentless and sustained. I reiterate that commitment today.”
Vice also quoted the President on Twitter regarding his comment about the lives fallen in expense of his “Oplan Tokhang.”
The war on drugs allegedly took thousands of lives. However, the president encouraged the Filipino people to believe in his stride to make the country better.
He also said that his people “shall be sensitive to the State’s obligations to promote, and protect, fulfill the human rights of our citizens.”
