Tony Labrusca joins list of Pinoy celebrities who wants to fight cyber-bullying.
The “La Luna Sangre” actor took to his official Facebook account to appeal to the fans of his fellow actors, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, to stop bashing him on social media.
The “Pinoy Boyband Superstar” finalist also pointed out that he is dismayed by the online attack he is receiving from KathNiel fans. His role as a third wheel in “La Luna Sangre” to KathNiel is said to be the main reason why he was bashed by these fans.
The 21-year-old wrote, “I’m completely appalled by the amount of cyber bullying going on these days. Being a third party to the KathNiel love team I know and accept that there will be bashing. However I do not condone it. Especially when Kathryn and Daniel are ANTIcyberbullying ADVOCATES.”
He added that he wants to start spreading awareness about how cyber-bullying affects a person.
“How can kathniel fans say ‘kathniel or die’ and ‘respeto naman po’ when they don’t even understand nor RESPECT what [their] favorite love team stand for? This amount of hate has got to stop and it starts with me right here right now. Time to spread awareness to the very real and sometimes very dangerous effects of Cyberbullying.”
Tony’s followers immediately showed their support to the actor, saying the KathNiel fandom is mainly composed of teenage girls who are highly sensitive when it comes to their idols.
The post, however, was deleted from Tony’s official Facebook account.
