- “Eat Bulaga” Dabarkads Ryan Agoncillo missed the #DabarkadsGoals competition with his partner and fellow host Maine Mendoza
- Ryan had to call sick due to his backache
After daring performances during Eat Bulaga’s 38th Anniversary Barkada Goals competition with Maine Mendoza as #TeamRaMen, Ryan Agoncillo was no-show in the Grand Finals because of back pains.
Ryan was reported to have pushed his body to the limit during rehearsals for a “death-defying” finale they intended to do on Saturday.
Ryan even got to rehearse for the Grand Finals on Friday before going home and started to complain his back.
His doctor said that he originally got this from his freezing trip in the Himalayas. He also won’t be able to go and watch the Grand Finals personally because his painful back caused him to be bedridden.
“Sorry, tumatanda na tayo,” said Ryan.
Even so, it did not stop him from bidding his partner Maine and their supporters good luck on performing their supposed act alone through a phone patch and a social media post.
“To our lovely little spitfire @mainedcm, I’m so sorry I couldn’t be with you in the final battle,” Ryan testified.
“Please take care out there sweetheart. Remember what we spoke about last night, if you’re doing it for the win, there’s no need, it’s already in the bag.” He said.
Despite the abrupt changes for Team RaMen, Maine pulled off their production number successfully. Ryan’s wife, Judy Ann Santos supported Maine on her performance.
Judy Ann posted a congratulatory message for Maine where she applauded her ‘professionalism’ and ‘dedication’ and that these are traits that are a must for the showbiz industry.
“I’m looking forward to cook for you soon,” said Juday. According to Maine, this performance was a big deal for her because she ‘rarely puts her whole self in the things she do.
“This is one of the few moments I feel proud and satisfied for doing something “great”. Thank you for this memorable experience, dabarkads! I wish Kuya Ry was with us today, but nonetheless, nasa puso ka namin kanina Kuya Ry! We did it, we won! Thank you very much and congratulations to us, Team Ramen!” she said in her Instagram post.
