- He did not say the reason behind his resignation
Along with the public release of the initial four entries in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, Chair of Rules Committee and a member of the MMFF Execom Rolando Tolentino resigns from his positions.
The UP professor refused to give detail as to why he decided to quit his job. He took to a Facebook post the announcement of his departure. “As of this morning, I sent my resignation as Chair of the Rules Committee and as member of the 2017 MMFF Execom. I’ll leave it at that.”
While many are saddened by his sudden resignation, they still respect his decision.
Others believe that it’s because of the recent press release of the MMFF board containing the movies above mentioned.
