‘The Promise of Forever,’ ABS-CBN’s new romantic-drama featuring Paulo Avelino, EJ Falcon and Ritz Azul is finally complete. It’s now in the can awaiting its TV airing.
Shot partly in some parts of Europe and on a cruise ship, the project was completed after one year.
In an interview with Ritz Azul with Newsko.com.ph, she confirmed the series to be 100 percent complete: “Buo na pong tapos [TV series], naka-can na siya. Hindi ko lang alam kung eere na at magte-taping pa kami or what kasi baka may ilang pagbabago.”
Contrary to what most people believed, “The Promise of Forever” will not be placed in primetime but instead will be aired in the afternoon slot. It is said to be replacing “The Better Half” soon when it ends in August.
“The Promise of Forever” is helmed by director Darnel Villaflor and award-winning independent filmmaker Hannah Espia. The directors said the story of “The Promise of Forever” will try to prove love is ‘beyond forever.’
While Ritz is waiting for the airing of her teleserye, she is regular guest on “Banana Sundae.” There have been talks that she is Jessy Mendiola’s replacement on the show after the latter has tendered her resignation.
But Ritz clarifies the issue: “Hindi naman po niya ako kapalit kasi nagpang-abot kami sa show, kaya hindi pwedeng sabihin na kapalit niya ako.”
