Kapuso sexy star Kim Rodriguez is thankful for the opportunities that come her way and she knows she’s getting all the attention because of her sexy body. She hopes someday, people will also get to notice her because of her acting ability.
The Kapuso star will soon be making one of her dreams come true. She was chosen to play Marian Rivera’s sister in the upcoming GMA serye, “The Good Teacher.”
Kim is grateful that she was handpicked by Marian herself to play her sister in the said TV show.
“Nu’ng time na nag-story conference kami, pinipigilan kong umiyak. Hindi ako makapaniwala talaga. Sobra ang pasasalamat ko. Alam mo ‘yung feeling na overwhelmed ako. Hindi ko sya expected eh. Matagal ko na rin na gustong makatrabaho si Ms. Marian,” said Kim.
She also found out upon meeting the Kapuso Primetime Queen that she’s very kind.
“Mabait po siya [Marian],” beams Kim. Initially, Kim admitted she was hesitant to approach Marian because she was a bit intimidated by her. But it was actually Marian who broke the ice between them. “She [Marian] acknowledged me, sabi niya sa akin, “Hayan, Kim, magkakasama na tayo.”
Kim was so touched by Marian’s gesture especially when she learned that she was the actress’ personal choice to play her sister in the said show. “Nag-thank you naman ako sa kanya ng personal. ‘Ate, thank you so much.’”
“Kaya natin ‘yan,’ sabi niya sa akin. Happy ako kahit maiksi lang ang naging pag-uusap namin. Sobrang excited na ako na mag-taping kami,” relates Kim.
The bombshell star says she’s not really picky when it comes to her work. “Okay lang ako basta meron akong trabaho. Ika nga nila, ‘strike while the iron is hot’”
Kim is very much aware that her sexy image is something that she cannot do forever. “Gusto ko rin na tumagal ako sa industriya na ito. Gusto kong dumating ang time na matawag akong aktres. Kasi may mga artista rin noon na gaya ko na nagpapaseksi sa simula. Pero tumagal sila sa showbiz at natawag na aktres. She cites Jaclyn Jose and Diana Zubiri as examples.
“Ako rin po, nangangarap na maging ganoon na tulad nila, balang araw, makikilala rin ako bilang isang aktres dahil hindi naman habang panahon ay magpapaseksi na lang ako,” ends Kim.
