- Kathryn Bernardo is someone who had grown before our very eyes.
- She started out as a child star in TV shows like “Super Inggo” with Makisig Morales and she also used to be a part of the hit Sunday afternoon kiddie gag show, “Going Bulilit.”
- Now that’s she’s all grown up, she says goodbye to tweeetums role which she had had with her reel and real life love, Daniel Padilla.
- Kathryn now says ‘hello’ to more challenging roles like the ones she’s doing now for the ABS-CBN primetime show, La Luna Sangre.
It is with La Luna Sangre that Kathryn had formally trained for martial arts. She’s doing a lot of action and fight scenes here in the said teleserye that’s very different from the ones she used to do in both her past movies and TV shows. What Kathryn does in La Luna Sangre is indeed a welcome change for her growth as an actress.
Kathryn Bernardo has indeed matured, not only in terms of her physical appearance but also in the roles that she’s been tackling in her past few projects. And in her latest teleserye, La Luna Sangre, she gets the chance to show off her skills in martial arts. She has trained with professionals to somehow perfect her fight scenes in the said fantasy TV series.
The Teen Princess may look a bit frail because of her lithe body frame, but Kathryn had managed to show everyone she’s got the right moves as far as martial arts and fight scenes are concerned.
Even her leading man, Daniel Padilla says he’s quite amazed at Kathyrn’s versatility as an actress. “Kinarir niya [Kathryn] talaga matuto sa mga fight scenes namin. I’m so proud of her,” said Daniel.
In fact, Kathryn enjoyed the fight scenes so much because she’s not someone who would instantly shrink from a challenge. A real trouper that she is, fans should expect more challenging roles as well as scenes for Kathryn in the near future.
After all, Kathryn had just turned 20. She had some realizations too. “Before I’m pretty fragile, but because of all the experiences before, all that had happened, I think I learned a lot and really need to be strong for the more you are ready to face everyone. You need to love yourself and you really do not have to stop when there are problems, and do my motivations to be a better person, “said Kathryn.
She’s more open to mature roles realizing she can’t do the same roles over and over again. “Of course, yes, that’s why we want to try a lot of new things from the one ‘that we used to do under Star Cinema. The management told us that we need to be serious and to really need to prepare for our roles starting of with the ones we play in La Luna Sangre.”
So she’s definitely bidding adieu to tweetums or cute teeny-bopper roles. Indeed, she’s ready to show her versatility as an actress.
