La Luna Sangre’s Kathryn Bernardo revealed that she is finally over her long-time fight with her own insecurities, saying that that phase is over.
The actress confessed that she felt insecure about herself and that it has been plaguing her for years.
“Just because you’re an actress doesn’t mean that you don’t suffer from feeling bad about yourself. There are days that I felt nothing, just very stressed,” she said.
She shared that she overcame her insecurities by learning to accept her own flaws and by focusing on how to better herself over time.
“Up until now it’s what I’ve been doing,” she added.
Kathryn also bid thanks to everyone who voted for her and Daniel Padilla on YES! Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful Stars where they won the top spot.
“Aside from physical looks, it’s important for a person to have a kind heart and a good conscience when it comes to dealing with other people,” the actress said regarding on battling insecurities to become a better person.
Her partner Daniel Padilla commended Kathryn’s perseverance in improving herself, especially in adapting to their lead roles in their current top-selling teleserye.
The actor said that Kathryn has been diligently working out in the gym for her role as Malia in La Luna Sangre.
“I think she deserves to be ‘hot’ – which is beautiful,” according to Daniel.
Meanwhile, the leading man of KathNiel feels confident about his physical self even without gym training. He said that now is not the time to body-build, unlike most actors. Daniel also tries not to be the ‘perfect’ guy but the ‘best’ one for Kathryn.
