Jessy Mendiola has tendered her resignation from the weekend ABS-CBN gag show, “Banana Sundae.”
There have been talks it was because her boyfriend, TV host Luis Manzano advised her to do so. But Luis recently denied it. There were also reports that Jessy seemed to have some “attitude,” the reason why she was axed from the said show.
Luis said in an interview that he knew it was Jessy’s decision to resign from the show because his girlfriend would also want to rest aside from there will be a new show she will be doing soon.
“I know Jessy, it had nothing to do with that. Jessy din wants to rest… I think she will do another one soon. Mayroon siyang aayusin na show very soon, so she has to take care of that,” he said.
As her boyfriend, Luis said he asked people around what had really happened concerning the issue that surrounds his girlfriend regarding her resignation. But according to him, ninety-nine percent of the rumors are plain rumors. Jessy told him the truth–all his girlfriend wanted was to take a rest. And that’s all her reason for resigning from the show.
Ritz Azul was the latest addition of “Banana Sundae”. She will continue with her signature electrifying dance production number as she opens the show each weekend.
Ritz doesn’t really mind replacing Jessy because she gets along well with the staff and crew of “Banana Sundae.”
