- Melai Cantoveros’ husband Jason Francisco is joining the sequel of Kapuso primetime series “Alyas Robin Hood.”
- Jason emerged as 3rd placer where her wife Melai Cantiveros became the Big Winner in “Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up” in 2010.
- His last project with ABS-CBN was “Super D” in 2016.
The one-half of the popular “Pinoy Big Brother” loveteam ‘Melason’ is now part of GMA Network’s action primetime series.
Originally from the ABS-CBN, Jason Francisco recently made the switch.
In an Instagram post by Tess Bomb on Instagram, Francisco was seen during the taping of “Alyas Robin Hood’s” sequel. “Oha!!! Abangan ang pilot ep guesting nmin ni jason sa alyas robin hood.yes sia nga si jason ni melai. Pls watch po kayo ah pilot episode 🙂 #alyasrobinhood”
The caption says Jason will be guesting for the pilot episode but did no disclose Francisco’s role in the highly anticipated book two. A new set of characters will also be appearing in the series to be played by Solenn Heussaff and Ruru Madrid.
“Pls watch very soon ang pagbabalik ng #alyasrobinhood kasama kmi ni jason. Oo yes may tama k!!! Kaya abangan s pilot episode.mwuah mwuah mwuah 😘😘😘 lapit n mga kapuso!”
Jaclyn Jose and Andrea Torres will reprise their roles as well. Before Alyas Robin Hood, Ruru and Solenn can be seen in Encantadia as Ybrahim and Cassiopeia.
Conincidentally Dingdong Dantes played the roles of Ybrahim and Raquim, from the original series and its 2016 adaptation respectively.
“Naging kasabay namin ang ‘Alyas Robin Hood,’ nakikita ko rin na sobrang ganda ng takbo ng istorya. So pagkatapos ng ‘Encantadia,’ sobrang suwerte ako na naging parte ako ng show na ito. Kaya sobrang thankful ako na napabilang po ako sa malaking programa na ito,” said Ruru.
As for Solenn, she expects her new role to be a good challenge.
“I’m very happy to be a part of this… I think it’s gonna be a challenge for me but excited. ‘Yung family ko ngayon, si Ruru lang from ‘Encantadia’ but I think we’re gonna adapt pretty well. I hope you put up with my kalokohan,” according to Solenn.
Catch Jason, Solenn and Ruru in the sequel of “Alyas Robin Hood” airing in October.
