On becoming a man, we can say that Jake Zyrus is halfway there.
He already went through removal of chest, or mastectomy. Also, because he’s now taking testosterone, Jake no longer gets monthly period.
More and more his body is showing manly features. The mustache, for one.
When asked about a possible sex change procedure, Jake said he’s very open about it. In fact, there’s a high chance that he will really push through.
“Kino-consider ko ‘yun, pero ayoko magsalita ng final,” he said during a previous interview with ABSCBN.
His signature “big voice” also got affected in his transition. Jake remains positive in his transformation despite the abundance of hate comments about him in social media.
“I’m doing this for myself.”
At the end of the day, Jake said that this is his choice and not all the time he wants to please the public.
