- It seems like actor Jake Cuenca is not pleased with the current covers of magazines nowadays
- According to him, they just put artists who sell but not those who can really influence
Kapamilya star Jake Cuenca became vocal on his disappointment towards a local magazine.
If some of the fans are happy to see their idols on the covers of the magazines, some still were not satisfied with it. Just like Jake who questioned the magazines here who opted to choose celebrities who are commercial-worthy but not influential in terms of beauty and fashion.
Many did agree with Jake’s tweet.
Business is what the list’s about, they said. This is today’s sad reality.
However, another told Jake to be open-minded about it. According to one netizen, there’s more to magazines than featuring people who are fashionable and attractive.
He did not mention the name but netizens suspect that it’s about this year’s list of Yes! Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful Stars since Jake posted the rant on Twitter on the same day when it was unveiled. Jake was not included on this year’s list. Along with KathNiel are artists from rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA, including JC Santos, Sunshine Dizon, Gabbi Garcia, Glaiza de Castro, Sanya Lopez, Rocco Nacino, Gil Cueva, Kris Bernal, Benjamin Alves, Gabby Eigenmann, Miguel Tanfelix, Bianca Umali, Andrea Torres, Mikee Quintos, Kate Valdez, Baeby Baste, Andre Paras, Barbie Forteza, Jak Roberto, and the Medina brothers.
When asked by PEP if he was pertaining to YES! Magazine’s list, he clarified, “No. I’m saying it in general. I just really wish for variety. In terms of everything. It would be nice to have options, but we don’t.”
