Former Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 Housemate Jerome Alacre recently gave his two cents on the issue involving comedienne Kakai Bautista and actor Ahron Villena.
On his Instagram account, Jerome wrote: “If by any chance a person confirmed to you that she or he is a member of the LGBT community , consider yourself ‘special.'”
He cited that revealing one’s self is one of the most difficult things for people like them to do because it needed a huge amount of trust. But it doesn’t give one the right and permission to disclose it in public.
It will be recalled Kakai said in her interviews that she accepts Ahron for whatever he is. A remark that leaves netizen speculating on Ahron’s true identity.
Jerome also said it is not proper to discuss and confirm someone’s sexuality to others.
Jerome also asked for respect for the LGBT community. According to him, if someone is not yet ready to come out, one has to open his mind and move on. Never use the person’s sexuality against them.
Finally, Jerome advised Ahron and said: “Don’t mind the people around you. Remember that people who talked about you are those people who aren’t happy about themselves. They just want you to feel the same. You don’t need to explain to anyone. Just be happy and focus on making yourself better and successful.”
