“La Luna Sangre” lead star Daniel Padilla reacted lightly to memes circulating the internet where his rumored girlfriend, Kathryn Bernardo is being compared to transgender singer Jake Zyrus.
It will be recalled Kathryn had to wear a pixie cut wig for her role as Malia in the ABS-CBN fantasy romance drama series, La Luna Sangre.
Netizens can’t help but notice the remarkable resemblance between Malia and Jake Zyrus’.
In an interview with ABS-CBN’s “Hotspot,” the actor gave his two cents on the said memes comparing Kathryn with Jake Zyrus.
He said: “May mga nakikita ako [comments on Kathryn’s new look] pero alam mo naman ang mga tao, laging may ganito. Pero wala, okay naman.”
Daniel said he respects everyone’s opinion. If the netizens think Kathyrn looks like Jake, he is fine with that.
According to Daniel, it was really Kathryn who found it quite amusing and he admits they both laughed at the memes. He said: “Si Kathryn ‘yung talagang tawang-tawa [with the memes], pero wala, sa akin, okay lang naman.”
He was also asked if it was true that he was chosen to be Liza Soberano’s leading man in her upcoming fantasy movie, “Darna.”
“Hindi. Wala namang nababanggit sa akin. Ano lang ‘yun, ilusyon lang ng mga tao [the tandem between him and Liza]. Ako don, parang malabo naman na makita ninyo ako bigla at saka may La Luna Sangre ako, malabo ‘yun,” Daniel denied.
