It seems like Sharon Cuneta has proven the saying, “Behind every successful man, there is a woman,” when comedian Vice Ganda showed his gratitude to the Mega Star.
During Sharon’s guesting on “Gandang Gabi, Vice!”, the comedian could not contain his emotion and thanked “The Voice Teens” coach. He said, “Maraming-maraming salamat!”
Vice revealed that Sharon made a big impact to the comedian’s success.
The Mega Star then replied, “Diyos ko naman. Nakaka-touch ka naman!”
Vice immediately insisted the Sharon was one of the few people who believed in him. He continued, “Totoo!
“Salamat. Hindi ko po ‘yun nakakalimutan. Hindi ko po ‘yun nakakalimutan.”
Sharon then said that she is very happy for Vice’s success.
However, she admitted that she chose to stay away with someone like Vice Ganda due to the comedian’s instant fame. She explained: “Ako, nami-miss kita kasi ka-text ko [si Vice] after ‘Petrang Kabayo’ pa lang. sabi ko, ‘You really deserved this, Vice! I’m so happy for you.’ Mula noon, naging textmates kami.
Vice Ganda then confessed that he had once a thought that his guestings in Sharon’s defunt show was the peak of his career. “Pero alam mo ba dati, akala ko ‘yun na ‘yung peak ko nu’ng nag-guest ako sa [Sharon],” he said.
Sharon then responded: “‘Lagi kang guest. ‘Lagi.

The comedian also recalled the time when Sharon gave him a Christmas present.
Vice reiterated that he does not forget Sharon’s great help for his career as a comedian. He said, “Maraming maraming salamat. Uulitin ko, hindi ko ‘yun nakakalimutan. Hindi ko nakakalimutan ‘yun.”
The Kapamilya actress also gave Vice some advice on how he could use his fame in a good way. She emphasized, “Tsaka alam mo, talagang ang dami mong napapasayang tao. Kaya ‘yung estado mo, ‘lagi mong tatandaan, you are in a very important position ‘cause you have a big responsibility.
Vice then admitted that in a span of six years since “Gandang Gabi, Vice!” was first aired, he did not have the chance to personally show his gratitude to the Mega Star.
I was not given a chance to personally thank you.”
“Kaya ang saya ko ngayon dahil I have the chance to personally say, ‘Thank you, sincerely and genuinely.’ Ang laking bagay po sa akin. Maraming salamat.”
“Gandang Gabi, Vice!” first aired on 22 May 2011 and was originally intended for only thirteen episodes, but after the announcement of the show’s planned final episode on 19 February 2012, due to the enormous feedback requesting the renewal of the show, it was announced that the supposed end of “GGV” was only to be the finale of the first season, and that the talk show would continue with a second season the following week.
