The Mega Star successfully wrapped up her first concert in the US in front of a sold-out audience at Chumash Casino.
The Kapamilya star expressed her gratitude to her fans. She posted on her Facebook page: “Thank you for all your prayers!!! It was hard to start the show as I was scared that my voice wouldn’t still be prepared… and when it came to Willy Cruz’s Bituing Walang Ningning and Pangarap na Bituin I could not stop myself from crying, and kept apologizing to my audience for being so emotional…
“Then I asked them if they could please sing with me because I couldn’t stop crying… And they did, so generously and kindly! That love from them all was sweet and overwhelming. Thank you to all of you who came to Chumash tonight.”
She also added, “I also cannot be prouder of Antonetthe who was fantastic! And singing (actually doing any kind of work for the first time) with Ian Veneracion, my special guest, was…SUPER NICE and appreciated by our audience and lalo na me (maybe I should say ‘surreal!’ Ayoko nga lang muna magka-crush sa kanya, nakakapagod eh! Hahahaha!)
“Seriously, thank you so much for your love, support, and prayers! I miss you, Sharonians in Manila! Love you all and God bless us. (Please pray for our safe trip to San Francisco tomorrow and our concert tomorrow evening. Thanks again so much!)”
“The Voice Teen” coach will be flying to San Francisco for the next leg of her US Tour, together with her husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan and their children Frankie, Miel and Miguel. Her daughter with Gabbi Concepcion, KC, will also join them in the US soon.
The 59-year-old’s concert received positive reviews from the audience; some fans outside the US even petitioned to see the her in their country. This proves that after 39 years in showbiz, people still want to see her perform. And that is what we called RELEVANCE. Congratulations, Sharon!
