- Sarah Lahbati would’ve been one of biggest stars that we now have. She was an alumna of GMA 7 reality talent show, StarStruck.
- In fact, she had emerged as StarStruck V’s Ultimate Female Survivor. But love got in the way of her career.
- The Swiss-Filipina fell in love with heartthrob Richard Gutierrez. She didn’t have any regret for choosing to love over career because she’s now a happy mom to their son Zion. And like her significant other who’s back in the showbiz grind, Sarah has also revived her career now that Zion’s a bit older.
She’s reportedly being considered to play the role of the villain Valentina in the latest “Darna” movie with Liza Soberano.
Sarah had openly expressed her interest to play the role of the villain in new “Darna” movie with Liza Soberano on the title role. There have been talks that Sarah is being considered to play the role of Valentina in the said remake of the well-loved Filipino heroine.
“I’d love to be part of Darna. I love to play the role of Valentina. I love to be a villain pero kung para sa akin, para sa akin. Kung para sa iba, para sa iba,” said Sarah.
She says she’s not expecting anything, although if she’d be given that opportunity to play the said part, she’d love to do it.
Erik Matti is the director of the new “Darna” film remake who also happens to be the same guy who megged Sarah’s latest horror film entitled “Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah dela Cruz.”
Direk Erik’s reportedly all-praises with Sarah’s acting on the said film but he’s mum when asked if Sarah could play as Valentina on “Darna.”
When asked if she’s going to play Valentina, Sarah’s safe answer was: “Tanungin natin si Direk Erik! [Matti],” she laughs.
Sarah proudly also says that her son Zion had seen his dad Richard in character as he plays Sandrino the vampire king on ABS-CBN’s new teleserye, “La Luna Sangre.”
“Noong una, shocked si Zion kasi may red contact lens si Richard and may pangil so parang hindi siya makapaniwal na tatay niya ‘yung nasa TV pero in-explain namin sa kanya na that’s his ‘Dada.’”
As a father, Sarah says Richard is so loving and caring. “He’s fun, palagi siyang nandiyan para kay Zion. Kung anong gustong gawin ni Zion, he’s very supportive. I’m so grateful to God that he’s such a great father to Zion and a partner.”
She says she’s also happy that they now belong in one TV network as both of them are now certified Kapamilya. “I’m so happy na magkasama na kami ni Richard sa ABS-CBN. Noong first guesting niya sa ASAP, nandoon ako, nandoon ang buong family namin to support him. It feels great to be under one home network and I know, aalagaan talaga siya. He’s happy with what he’s doing now.”
Sarah may or may not play the role of Valentina in the new Darna movie remake. But she’s more than happy to be considered for the role and if given the chance, she says she’d be happy and flattered to play the villain in the highly-anticipated film.
