Senator Risa Hontiveros found another critic in the person of Presidential Daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
In a Facebook post, the young Duterte asked DOJ if the Senator is unwittingly aiding Maute group when the latter disqualified Maute’s actions under rebellion and or invasion.
Sara Duterte’s statements came after Hontiveros’ interview with UNTV became viral spewing fake news memes tagging the Senator as Maute supporter.
In her post, Sara Duterte called on DOJ’s opinion regarding Sen. Hontiveros’ statements.
“Question lang sa DOJ, kung rebellion ang crime and this woman is saying it is not rebellion, are her words encouraging them to commit the crime? And so it becomes abetting rebellion?” she said.
She added, “She works for the government that the terrorists are fighting… paki explain beh. Wala gyud ko kasabot”

Inday Sara is the latest person to have called out Sen. Hontiveros regarding her take on the Marawi Siege and Martial Law in Mindanao.
Several Duterte Supporters FB pages have lambasted Hontiveros over her statements with many creating slighted memes showing the Senator supporting Maute.
Meanwhile, the lady senator on Thursday condemned another “fake news campaign” against her, in which she was depicted being supportive of the ISIS-linked Maute group.
“Yesterday, I was again the target of a vicious fake news campaign wherein I was depicted to be very supportive of the Maute group,” Hontiveros said in a forum held at De La Salle University-Manila.
“Nothing is farther from the truth,” she added.
