Former 2NE1 member Sandara ‘Dara’ Park now holds the title of friendship ambassador of South Korea to the Philippines after celebrating the 119th Philippine Independence Day ‘Bayanihan sa Korea 2017’ in Seoul along with Filipinos last June 11.
“First of all, I would like to express my appreciation to the people from the Philippines and also from the embassy for having me in this honorable event, and for choosing me as the Friendship Ambassador of the Philippines,” the Kpop star said; happily accepting her new role as a representative to both Koreans and Filipinos.
She then addressed the Filipinos in Tagalog, ““Parang first time ko yata makakasama ng ganitong karaming Pinoy sa Korea, sa Han River! Grabe, ang saya!”
Growing up in the Philippines, Sandara Park describes the country as her ‘second home.’
She was first recognized after joining Star Circle Quest along with Roxanne Guinoo, Joross Gamboa, Neri Naig, and her previous on-screen partner Hero Angeles.
Sandara also opens up that she visits beautiful Philippine beaches such as Boracay, Palawan, Subic and many more whenever she can go on a vacation. Her 2NE1 bandmates also visited the country numerous times before.
