Actress Ryza Cenon recently confirmed that she did not renew her contract with GMA Artist Center. Just like what Louise delos Reyes did, the Kapuso actress has signed a contract with Viva Artists Agency (VAA).

The “Ika-6 Na Utos” star, however, clarified that she is not totally leaving GMA Network. She said, “Hindi naman po ako aalis ng GMA. Management contract po ito. Wala naman po akong network contract sa GMA, eh. Sa management lang, sa Artist Center. Nag-end na po siya nu’ng February. Hindi na po ako nag-renew sa Artist Center, pero GMA pa rin po ako.”

The actress also pointed out that she talked to the bosses of GMA Artist Center before she transferred to VAA.
Asked why she left her former talent agency, Ryza answered, “Gusto ko lang pong ma-explore pa ‘yung industry, kumbaga. Like gusto kong magkaroon ng movies pa at saka endorsements, gano’n.”
The 29-year-old also revealed that her endeavor with VAA is a 10-film contract in 5 years. “Sabi ko po sa kanila, iba naman sana like romcom para light. Kasi, sobrang dark po nu’ng last ko na pelikula na ‘Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B’, eh,” she confessed.
“Manananggal” is an independent film, released in 2016, and it was Ryza’s first movie where she starred as lead character.

Aside from “Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers” in 2016, “Lovestruck”, released in 2005, was her only movie as a Kapuso artist for 12 years.
