- Pokwang says it’s always been part of her bucket list to work with Coco Martin.
- She originally asked Coco to guest on “Ang Probinsyano.” But instead of a guesting stint, Coco had thought of a role for her in the book 2 of the hit TV series, “Ang Probinsyano.”
- Pokwang admires Coco for being down-to-earth and prayerful.
As an artist, Pokwang says they too have dreams of their own that needs to be fulfilled. She’s very happy to be part of “Ang Probinsyano Book 2.” She’s grateful to actor Coco Martin who gave her the chance to work in an action-drama series. She had always wanted to work with Coco.
“I always tell him [Coco] that. We’ve had the chance to work together in shows abroad but I have never been included in the series. I told Coco I wanted to guest on his TV series,” relates Pokwang.
She’s happy that it was Coco who actually thought of a role that fits her to a T. “He [Coco] narrated the role he thought for me. Originally, I was only supposed to become a guest on the show. It’s a blessing in disguise that it didn’t materialized then because my schedule didn’t allow me to. Can you imagine my surprise when I was told I’d be part of the regular cast for the Book 2?”
Pokwang admitted she had always admired Coco because he’s very down-to-earth as a person. “Honestly, one thing I admire about Coco, no kayabangan, egotism, no air. When it comes to work, he’s such a perfectionist. Above all, he’s very helpful and kind to everyone, not just to his family…and he’s also prayerful.”
Pokwang also revealed there’s a twist in her character as Amor Nieves, the landlord of Coco on the show. “Masaya na kaeksena ko sina Ms. Susan Roces and si Coco Martin. Saan ka pa? I love the set, para kaming isang family.”
