Netizens notice the undeniable closeness between the two Kapuso stars Maine Mendoza and Marian Rivera. They both came from the same Talent management, which is Triple A of Mr. Tony Tuviera.
During an interview with the two, Marian shared how she’s friends with Maine even before. According to her, their personalities jive and that they share some secrets with each other.
Talking to PEP, “Nakakatawa kasi… alam mo, once lang ako nag-post about Meng [palayaw ni Maine], kasi nakakatawa siyang kausap.
“At hindi naman alam ng mga tao na madalas kaming mag-usap na dalawa.
“Once lang ako nag-post sa buong buhay ko nang magkakilala kaming dalawa.
“Natuwa lang ako sa mga conversation namin. Marami kaming mga secret-secret.”
Only a few know that Marian and Maine talks outside work. The Sunday Pinasaya star considers Maine as one of her true friends in the industry.
“Sabi nga nila, okay na yung kokonti pero totoo, kesa naman ang dami-dami, hindi mo naman alam kung sino talaga yung nandiyan para sa ‘yo.
“Hindi porke’t pareho kami ng manager, parang nagkapalagayan kami ng loob.
“Kasi nakikita ko talaga yung sarili ko, yung attitude ko sa kanya, e.”
Maine’s sense of humor
Marian expressed how she admires Maine’s sense of humor and being just herself.
“Iba din yung sense of humor ng batang yun.
“Gusto ko yung sense of humor niya. Nakakatawa siya.
“Nakita ko nga minsan ang sarili ko sa kanya.
“Pag nag-uusap kami, yung mga terms namin pag magsalita.
“Saka totoong tao din kasi.,”
The actress, who’s been in the industry for several years, understands Maine when she recently took a time off and deactivated her social media account.
It’s normal in the show business, she said.
“Sabi ko nga sa kanya, ganun talaga yung showbiz, e.
“Minsan talaga… pag artista ka talaga, yun yung price na kailangan nating bayaran—ang maging public property ka.
“Lahat ng kilos mo, ang galaw mo, at siyempre lahat nung tao, mapi-please mo.
“Importante, yung nag-e-enjoy ka, totoo ka sa sarili mo, at sobrang dami namang nagmamahal sa ‘yo.”
She also acknowledged Maine’s strength because she is not easily turned down by the negative comments the haters give.
“Matatag din yung bagets, e. Matapang siya.”
